The Animation Show at Hollywood Theatre

I know this is short notice, but The Animation Show (Don Hertzfeldt has a brand new short film in it!!) is in Portland for only one more day--January 21st, Sunday--and I really highly recommend it. It's basically a collection of animated short films of all different types handpicked by Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt. Um. You can just buy the tickets at the Hollywood Theatre because they probably won't sell out, but go early! The line to get in was pretty long.

Four Dreams at the Compound Gallery

We went to see this exhibition for Amy Sol's art work, so it was a pleasant surprise to find that Audrey Kawasaki's work was there too. And the store below, Just Be Complex, has all these fantastic, fantastic toys (Frank, Pupshaw, and Pushpaw action figures!!) and when I saw Kozyndan's bunny wave print and all the amazing art books I went outside and screamed with delight.
