I've fixed my journal so it's more dialup-friendly! Five entries on each page. (Sorry, I really didn't notice how long it was taking to load. Even if the art is mostly less than 80kb, that's a lot of it.)

Most of my drawings aren't very close to the refs because I tend to draw more from how I see them in my head than from how they look in the cap. The less happy I feel about a particular position, the closer I try to get it to the reference.

I'll be backdating this post after two days and then adding to it as I draw more.

Bell Curve: I remember using caps from The Brotherhood, when they're excavating--mostly for what the hair on the back of John's head looked like.

King of Coffee: I remember tweaking Rodney's face to death (the angle was difficult) until it was perfect, but I can't find the ref pic. The girls are drawn wtih no ref.

Teyla and Sora: No photo ref. Stargatecaps.com was down, I didn't know how to screencap, and I just watched the relevant episodes a couple of times, pausing occasionally to tweak.

Your Inevitable Unhappy Ending: John is reffed from Sanctuary, specifically these two caps. I know this for a fact because I actually saved them to my computer instead of drawing straight from the stargatecaps.com site. I fixed the line of Rodney's cheek and his eye up in Photoshop from ref, but I don't know where it's from.

The Machinery of Heaven: I got a lot of mileage out of those two Sanctuary caps. This is done loosely from the one where he raises his eyebrow.

Abstain: Rodney is reffed from this picture, and I have no idea where John is from, but I do remember using one particular screencap for his face and playing fast and loose with it. Possibly the Sanctuary cap.

The Wheel, Atlantis, Wars, And So On: Actually, no ref for John's face. I do remember using a dolphin ref, but it wasn't this one.

Cowboy!Sheppard: I used one of the caps from the Sateda scene where John lies down next to Rodney for loose reference on his jawline and nose.

Fish Like Bikes Promo: No single photoref for anyone except Heightmeyer and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is from Inferno, the sexetary scene, and Heightmeyer is loosely drawn from her Wikipedia pic.

Artword Entry: No ref, except for the back of Rodney's hair, but I can't for the life of me figure out which episode it was.

Something Else: This is the closest to the ref of all my pictures. I started out with a Rodney that was a little broader in the face (working from Inferno video) and then thinned him down and moved his features around according to this screencap.

Reconcilable Differences: Lex is closely reffed from the famous Metamorphosis cap, and Clark is loosely reffed from this cap.

Lex Paper Doll: No caps, but I google image-searched Michael Rosenbaum. I didn't want it to look too much like him, but I wanted it to be reminiscent of MR rather than, say, Kevin Spacey or Fat!Kingpin!Lex. The body is loosely reffed from a photo on an nude reference site for artists that I could upload if anyone wants, although the other men in the picture are gaggy.

There, I think that's all of them.
