Here is an SGA picture, with fruit, for you! You didn't say which fandoms you were in, so I went for SGA.

Well, it makes me wonder. Why are they having a picnic? *Where* are they having this picnic? John and Rondey seem sort of...subdued. What are they thinking about? Talking about? Are they together as a couple or are they just friends? Are those really apples, because if everyone's on a planet other than Earth, then they're really not apples at all, unless someone managed to plant and grow a tree to maturity. I could almost imagine the four of them lost somewhere or in exile. (Fiction muse raises hand. "May I speak?") (I slap her hand away. "I'm too busy, now!") Draw more... please?

Whee, I really liked hearing your take on it! It always makes me really happy to know that the picture is not just a drawing in someone else's mind but suggestive of a narrative, because it's usually not visual art's territory, you know?

Yes, I was extremely intrigued by the drawing and it may become the inspiration for a story that is trying to take form right now in my mind. (Perhaps a few sessions on the treadmill will help clarify things. Usually works. Walk, walk, walk. Think, think, think.)

Oh wow, that is awesome. And *fall* and I want to know the story of what brought them to the mainland, with Rodney holding the apples and John sitting behind him (perhaps in thought, or just loving a nice fall day), there is a story there, I can feel it :D

Beautiful! You've captured them all gorgeously. I absolutely love Teyla in particular -- she is so very Teyla, every line and curve of her posture just spot on. And I love the grass and trees, how the colors all work together.

Gorgeous as always. Simply gorgeous - and Teyla's thigh is (duh) gorgeous - not just in the Teyla's-thigh-is-gorgeous sort of way, but also compositionally speaking.

And perhaps the curve of her bosom echoes the curve of the apples - does this mean Ronon is secretly reaching for T's booby? I THINK SO.

I wrote to you when you first posted this, saying how much I liked the picture. So I decided to write a story with the picture in mind...and it's up to 130 pages, now (pre-edited, praise God.) See what you made me do!

The story isn't really about the picture or anything. In fact, in the scene that your work specifically evoked, John isn't there except in spirit (which he sort of is in the picture, since he's kind of behind Rodney and etc., etc.)

Anyway, just thought I'd share.
