What's ironic is, I resisted coming into SGA because I just couldn't see Rodney's appeal (he isn't that immediately attractive), but now! Not only is he my favorite character on the show, but I have what is probably a ginormous crush on him.

As for Rodney, it was a shock when I realized, watching The Storm, that he was really kind of hot. I already liked him by then, but that was a surprise.

These are all very pretty! Did you make them at this size, or are they cropped from bigger pictures? Because I'd love to see the full-sized versions, if there are any.

I can see what you mean about Rodney. I think a lot of his attractiveness comes from his expressions and character and that's not immediately obvious. But he does grow on you so quickly :)

These are wonderful! The one with Rodney and the seashell is my favorite.

And Rodney kind of grew on me too. First he was the reason I didn't like the show, now he's my dream man. My mother is accordingly traumatized: "So that's what I shall expect as a son in law?"

I remember being really surprised that the main slash pairing was McKay/Sheppard when I was first getting into the fandom, even after I knew Ronon had entered the picture, but the more I watched, the more I got just how awesome Rodney was. *g*

these are great. i like the first one best, i think. the same thing happened to me as well. when i first started watching SGA, john was my favorite character. but the McKay soon took over my brain.

Thank you! And yeah, John is much more immediately attractive and I went in expecting to like him better, but *Rodney*, wow. I had no idea he would be so awesome.

Oh, Rodney. I do admit that when I first saw Rodney on SG1, I had no reaction to him. I actually found him annoying *hangs head in shame* I fell in love with him from the first on SGA and it's John who needed time to grow on me. *grins*

I like the characters fine (I like Rodney, of course, though I seem to have imprinted more on John), the show just. . . didn't have that spark for me. I don't know why. It confuses me. It seems like I should like this show more than I do, but. . . instead, I'm watching Supernatural! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME.

I keep hearing good things about Supernatural, but with no access to cable (or a TV, even) nothing can be done about it.

Also, I know I've said this before, but I really like your garlic and green onion icons! They have the best expressions EVER.

Supernatural is showing on network TV! . . . not that this matters, what with you not even having a TV and all. But it's a retarded show. SGA has much better acting, writing, uh, everything overall.

LJ recently gave me back all my icons and then some, and I AM HAPPY. :DDD I'm awfully fond of them; about now I'd normally be getting sick of my icons and make new ones, but everyone loves them too much.

Wow, those are all great (and the third is HILARIOUS, hee)!

I was always inclined to like Rodney as a character, but I admit that when I first saw pictures of him? My thoughts were, "Wow, he's funny-looking," and "This is one half of the fandom's most popular slash pairing? Weird."

Now I've come so far as to consider David Hewlett not just attractive but, in fact, totally gorgeous. It's really funny how much tastes can change!

God, SO TRUE, that was my reaction too. I mean, I wasn't impressed when I first saw the pictures of him, and it was a shock to me to see how incredibly popular the pairing was. And then I watched the show, and NOW I KNOW.
