Artist recs!
- Nivbed: click the evil bunny and then click on the thumbnails there.
- Kozyndan: I love their panoramics so much.
- Lillian Piri: soft, soft, lovely art.
- Lotte Klaver: ink sketches of children.
- Barnaby Ward: so fucking cool. He just oozes cool.
- Matthew Woodson: pointing you to this one particular picture that I really love.
- Paul Pope: a master of brushwork!
- Kristian Donaldson: I'm not a big fan of his covers but the colors on the insides of Supermarket #1 are beautifully done.
- Neil Babra: I didn't like the style he used in Flight Volume 1, but the way he does night scenes in Volume 3, the trees all dark and blown about by the wind, is amazing.
- James Jean: everybody loves James Jean, but maybe everybody hasn't seen A Polite Winter, which is a collaborative project he's doing with Kenichi Hoshine.
Oh! And! Does anyone want a Vox account? I have two invites!

I've taken my email addy out, because it's my RL one. Hmm, going to have to think about how I'm using it, now!
And, on another topic, your tentacle-Rodney pic yesterday? Reminded me *so* much of Farscape. Have you seen any of it? There's one ep where someone pulls up their t-shirt to show how they're changing, and it's almost exactly like this pic!

Also, thank you for the artist links, the first artist's works are absolutely stunning. I am always amazed by people who can get textures so well with paint, digital or not. The scenery views from the link on the livejournal page were mind blowing. Incidentally, have you ever seen anything by Lawrence Alma Tadema (late 19th century Dutch painter)? He portrayed textures beautifully, most of his paintings have really gorgeous surfaces, a lot of marble, but even other stones, or soft material like cloth or petals.
I'm curious, how do you find these links to contemporary artists? Through art forums or just general browsing? Thanks again for the links :)

And yeah, Nivbed's fantastic and everyone adores him. ♥ Did you see this one (http://www.nivbed.com/desire.htm)? That's my favorite.
(And woah, Lawrence Alma Tadema's marble is amazing.)
